The reason I get up in the morning is coffee. I am spellbound by it. Its aroma is so comforting to me. I can drink it anywhere, one cup after another, yet I can’t have any past noon. When I do, I spend my night staring at the ceiling. Coffee is my loyal companion and as you can see below, I drink it no matter where I am. I’m drinking coffee while shopping and playing piano or raking leaves and reading my Bible.

Do you love coffee as much as I do? Then have a sip with me! Here are my first few cups. And because I hate Mondays (who doesn’t?) I
enjoy need my coffee on Mondays even more. 🙂
May your coffee be strong and your Monday short!
Coffee, because Monday happens every week.
Keep calm and pretend it’s not Monday.
May your Monday disappear as quickly as your first cup of coffee.
Hope your Monday sailing is as smooth as my coffee.
Less Monday! More Coffee!
So, how do I make my coffee? For long time I used my Keurig
and K cups
until I read somewhere that because of the narrow water tube that is hard to clean it is a great housing for mold. That kind of grossed me out and I was done with Keurig. I’m not suggesting you throw out your beloved Keurig, but if you are looking for an alternative I might have a solution for you.
Have you ever heard of pour over coffee? It is exactly what it sounds. You pour hot water over coffee grounds to extract the flavor into your cup or a serving vessel. It’s back to basics yet so revolutionary. I buy only organic coffee beans, Colombian or French roast, and I grind it fresh. Not only do I know exactly whats in my mug, but I also spend less money on coffee! I pay about $9 for a pound and my husband, who sticks with Keurig, spends $32 on pound of K cups even when they’re on sale! And you might be brewing wood chips, who’s to know? So, in a nutshell, organic and full beans all the way for me! What’s your favorite?
