Tree - All that's Jas

PHOTO FRIDAY 28 – Tree 1

Call me weird, but I have a favorite tree. You read that right, a tree. It is located in the middle of a field some short distance from my town. It stands majestic and by itself. I can’t help but admire it. I could dig deep and find all kinds of reasons why, but let’s just say it is pretty. Even without its foliage it’s a good looking tree, or maybe because of it. We’ll have to wait and see, as I discovered this tree just recently.

TREE

Believe it or not,  the first four pictures were all taken the same evening. The snow had melted and I felt adventurous enough to stand on the side of a road waiting for the golden hour, sunset and then the blue hour. The wind forced me to hold onto a utility pole. The clouds were moving fast, bending the light every which way. I also ruined my good boots by stepping into the field that was soft and muddy.

I went back after we got more snow to take the last photo below. I’m now equipped with rain boots as I’m planing on visiting this tree often. Don’t you love it too?

I love trees too and when they stand lonely like this in the landscape there is something even more beautiful about them. So glad you waited for the light too, you got some truly amazing images as a result

    What wonderful shots.
It’s rare to find a solitary tree here. It certainly adds interest to the photo!

I love your photography. Just stunning. You would love some of the trees here in HK. They are part of the rubber tree family and their roots grow through and around anything the city has as nature always has a way of prevailing.

Jas, the tree may just be a plain tree but you have made it majestic with your photos. It’s always a challenge to stand in the same spot at different times of the day and year and try to take different pictures.

Thank you so much, my friend! Even when you succeed, people get bored looking at the same thing, no matter how different the sky is, lol.
