Slow cooker sticky Chinese chicken - All that's Jas

Slow Cooker Sticky Chinese Chicken

Takeout dinner is not something we do often. I enjoy cooking but on occasion, I get either lazy or busy. With this slow cooker sticky Chinese chicken I can be both. How often do you use your slow cooker? I only remember that I have one (two, actually) when I need to bring something to a potluck at work.

No wonder they call it “set it and forget it”. As soon as I set it outside of my kitchen I forget all about it, lol. Maybe I should keep it in my cupboards, but I have more important things to store there. Where do you keep yours? Give me some ideas!

You know that I favor easy meals that look and sound like I slaved in the kitchen all day. Especially chicken dishes are easy to make and yield delicious meals. It is true for herb roasted chicken, French onion chicken and Italian chicken. Serve any of these easy dishes, including this sticky Chinese chicken from the slow cooker and you will get plenty of compliments.

I use my slow cooker every chance I get! My daughter LOVES all Asian foods so I make stir fry often. Definitely making this for her, pinning for later, thanks for sharing! Oh, and your photos are gorgeous!

Thank you, Erica! I will need to start using mine more often. It’s a time-saver and I definitely need more time! I’ll try some of your slow cooker recipes, I like that they’re not all stew-y! 🙂 Have a great weekend ahead!

This one sounds really easy and the orange marmalade must add such a lovely flavor to the chicken. My slow cooker is probably one of the few kitchen utensils that I can use without messing things up so it’s in the cupboard, where I can find it quickly. Nothing beats a dump it and leave it meal, especially when you come home from work in the evening to all those delicious smells. Thanks for a great recipe Jas, I’ve pinned it to try this week.

Hi, Michelle! I’d be scared to leave it unsupervised for 8+ hours, unless I had a part-time job. They all vary and found that mine gets pretty hot and cooks in less time than recipes suggest. Let me know how this chicken recipe turns out for you. Have a lovely Sunday!

This looks like such an easy recipe Jas. I know I can make it easily the only problem is I don’t have a slow cooker. What would you recommend, just cook it in the oven or in a pot?

Yes, I think either would work, just keep the temperature on the lower side so it doesn’t burn. Chicken will let some juices out but it is a pretty sticky situation (pun not intended, lol) so keep your eye on it during cooking/baking. 🙂
