PHOTO FRIDAY 17 – Random Subjects

Into the dark - Ast, Germany

Into the dark – Ast, Germany

My summers are usually so busy that I, for once, was looking forward to this winter to slow down and hibernate. The winter is almost over and I haven’t slowed down a bit. After renovating my bathroom I renovated my blog and that, my friends, was no fun. I also spent more time with my beloved Ava. She just loooves her grandma and that makes her grandma ueberhappy.

Short days are the nemesis of photography. By the time I come home from my day job the day is already giving way to night and the weekends are mostly reserved for house chores. You know the drill. I’m tiny bit freaked out about this summer. Our local stores are already selling vegetable seeds and if I want early crops I should start my seedlings soon. I also have tons of ideas I want to execute and I have booked a trip to my homeland. Come July I will welcome grandbaby #2 plus I picked up a new hobby – birding! Someone stop me, please. All those things bring me the greatest joy (and keep me out of trouble) but leave no time to relax. Or sleep. Anyhow, let me share few random subjects I had pleasure of photographing since the last Photo Friday.

Thank you, Mary! I can’t take the credit for it though. The previous owners did a great job landscaping – there’s always something blooming from early spring til late fall. πŸ™‚
