Call me weird, but I have a favorite tree. You read that right, a tree. It is located in the middle of a field some short distance from my town. It stands majestic and by itself. I can’t help but admire it. I could dig deep and find all kinds of reasons why, but let’s just say it is pretty. Even without its foliage it’s a good looking tree, or maybe because of it. We’ll have to wait and see, as I discovered this tree just recently.
Believe it or not, the first four pictures were all taken the same evening. The snow had melted and I felt adventurous enough to stand on the side of a road waiting for the golden hour, sunset and then the blue hour. The wind forced me to hold onto a utility pole. The clouds were moving fast, bending the light every which way. I also ruined my good boots by stepping into the field that was soft and muddy.
I went back after we got more snow to take the last photo below. I’m now equipped with rain boots as I’m planing on visiting this tree often. Don’t you love it too?One tree, many looks. #landscape #nature #fineartphotography #tree Click To Tweet
Trees are poems the earth writes upon the sky
The less you reveal, the more people can wonder
The happiest of all lives is a busy solitude
There’s such beauty and grace in our world, take the time to find it
I stand alone! It’s easy to stand with the crowd. It takes courage to stand alone
I’m social. Let’s connect on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+
