You know the saying: If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.
I freaking love nature! And science. Do you ever stop and wonder how things work or why are we here? How perfectly in sync things seem to be. And how you can’t go against nature. After some research, we did everything to attract more butterflies to our backyard. In addition to our viburnum shrubs, butterfly, and lilac bushes, we planted cornflower, lavender, sage, more daylilies, and whatnot. I even made a butterfly feeder with some rotten fruit floating in the water. YUCK!
And then finally earlier this summer we had more than one stray butterfly. Not only did they fly around our yard in pairs, which I never saw before, there were three different kinds. YAY, the hard work paid off! Except…the caterpillars ruined the leaves of my still tender fruit trees. How do I get rid of them now? I freaking love nature.

Just living isn’t enough, said the butterfly, one must also have freedom, sunshine, and a little flower.
