And if you just love cabbage the way I do, you will always want your family and friends to have a taste of it! They may resist your attempts to make them eat cabbage, but don’t get discouraged. Be persistent! You can eventually show them how wonderful cabbages can be!
Cabbage can be cooked in many different ways. Some people may not be familiar with them as they may have been exposed to instant meals and quick cook processed foods. A good tasting cabbage recipe can switch them to appreciate and have more greens in their lives! Here are some tasty tips on how you may like to prepare cabbage, to persuade your friends!
#1 Cabbage Chips
Potato chips are a thing of the past. The kitchen tools available today have permitted us to make everything crispy! Cook a large batch of air fried cabbage chips over a movie marathon and they will surely beg for more! They might not even notice that you are serving them cabbage!
Slaw is an age old recipe that is always served at dinner tables and parties. It goes well with almost anything! They are a hit with barbecues and steaks. In fact, I think it makes them better!
#3 Cabbage and Sausage
Nothing beats a nutritious and hearty bowl of cabbage and sausage, especially during cold nights! It’s packed with proteins, vitamins, minerals, and a good amount of dietary fiber. Your buff friends will be delighted with this recipe. This is an enjoyable meal that can help them bulk up without gaining a few extra pounds.
#4 Cabbage Pickles
Are you getting tired of eating too much instant and processed food? Some pickled cabbage can give you and your friends a breath of fresh air. They are easy to make, and they last a long time in the fridge! Make some so that you have a cabbage side dish available to offer whenever a friend comes over.
They are also a great combination with kebabs and grilled meat! Try it, and you will fall in love with it even more! Add some jalapeño to make it a little spicy and punchy.
#5 Cabbage Steak
Steaks can be green too! Maybe some people have a pushback with a vegetable steak. But once they get a taste of it, they would realize that veggies can be awesome too! These slices of goodness can be easily prepared at home. It would take only as much as 20 minutes to prepare! The trick to saving time is preheating your oven while preparing everything else!
Slice your cabbages vertically into about a third of an inch in thickness. Season and bake for 15 minutes! Add some more time if you want to char the outside and soften the middle. Chow like the way you would eat an Angus steak! (of course, without the guilt and the expensive bill!)
I don’t know why anyone would ever have an ill feeling towards cabbage. It is heartbreaking!
These recipes can move them to switch their meat with cabbage! Or if that’s too much, they may mix cabbage to their selection!
Cabbage chips can easily fool your friends taste buds! It’s just like eating potato chips, but healthier! Slaws can give them that familiar, homey, and nostalgic taste. I’m sure that they have had this during one of their family dinners!
Pickles can introduce a new flavor to them! They should always be available in your fridge! For the ultimate, make them try cabbage steaks.
