PHOTO FRIDAY 32 – Clouds

clouds - All that's Jas

I would be grateful if you shared this post ❤

The first time I flew, as a child back in mid-seventies, I was amazed to see the sun shining above the gray, dark clouds. The revelation made such an impression on me that I’ve been obsessed with clouds ever since. You can say my head is in the clouds because I’m always on the lookout. Living in the city means you don’t get a clear view of the sky. Getting a good photo is almost impossible, unless you drive a while to the outskirts of the city.  But ain’t nobody got time for that, amirite?

Somewhat unobstructed view is possible from my balcony, where you can often find me looking up. It’s not the best spot but it’s most convenient. These photos are taken from the said balcony, almost from the same spot (it’s a long balcony). These are not glorious landscape/skyscape photos. They will not take your breath away. They just captured the changes usually overlooked by many. Have you noticed that clouds are most amazing in fall? I love autumn skies.

As my friend Ann said in her Pause and Breathe post:

“One has much to lose from being one of the members of the “Look Down” Society. Let’s join the Look-Up-and-Around Society instead to never forget the beauty that surrounds us.”

So, look up once in a while and pay attention to anything else but your phone.

What is your favorite subject to photograph in the nature? Do you like clouds just as much as I do?

Keep your head in the clouds if that’s where you need it to be.

clouds - All that's Jas

How sweet to be a cloud floating in the blue

clouds - All that's Jas

Even when the sky is filled with clouds, the sun still shines above

Every cloud has a silver lining

Don’t you wonder what clouds taste like?

You must not blame me if I talk to the clouds

clouds - All that's Jas

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day

Make every day a cloud nine kinda day

clouds - All that's Jas

Don’t let one cloud obliterate the whole sky

I hope you enjoyed the clouds from my balcony. Try every day to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.

Love, love, love! Stunning images there, Jas! I’very been staring at them for a while. The colours! Fluff! OMG! And you somehow managed to catch a little lightning on the last one! I’ve got a bit of an obsession with the clouds too and I enjoy looking at them cotton balls! So I won’t blame you for talking to them.
“Obliterate!!!!” That’s a big word. Impressed! Lol.
And thank you for the shout-out out, dear Jas. So very sweet of you. Talk about head in the clouds!

You’re welcome, Ann! Don’t be impressed, those are all quotes I found on Google, LOL. But, hey! I know big words too – THANKS A LOT for thinking so little of me 😛

Eeeks!! Oh gosh, Jas!! No no that wasn’t what I meant at all! there’s absolutely no way I think very little of you. 🙁 Am impressed was not supposed to come out that way.I meant to say that was a big word for me – I actually had to double check the meaning and not a word I would think to even use. lol.

I feel so bad! I’m making you dinner and do the clean up as my way of apology!

Just supor cloud photos. What a wonderful variety. Never hear that before “Look Down Society” but it’s so true- just as much here in the UK. Very sad.
