ducks - All that's Jas

I would be grateful if you shared this post ❤

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things 191!

I have a whole new respect for ducks. First, I now know why there are no fish in our pond and I’m not happy about that. But, I was watching these two the other morning and was pretty impressed by the male duck.

While she was swimming, diving, and frog fishing (goldfish are all gone) he stood guard. He kept turning his head left and right watching out for predators. Then he stood there as she was picking bird seeds from the ground. He didn’t eat. She wobbled around the yard and he patiently followed her. What a husband!

I love the ducks in the water feature. We had one land in a neighbors yard a few days ago. Thanks for cohostessing this blog party.

Is this photo taken from your garden? I just love watching nature too, well that was when I used to live Stateside. Just be careful as they get quite protective with their little babies… I am off to visit all these fun bloggers and hosts. Happy Thursday to You!

Hi, Bam! Yes, that’s part of my backyard. We have quite a number of visitors there, from wild turkeys to ducks and many bird species. We fenced it off due to our dogs, but have seen deer and coyote back in the wooded areas. And we live in city limits 🙂 Thanks for always stopping by and commenting. Hugs!

That is cute, but yeah, I’d be annoyed by the disappearing fish too. She is a very pretty duck though.

I know they are easily replaceable but I am a huge sucker for all animals, so I was sad to see them gone 🙁 Thanks for visiting!

Great story; we can learn a lot just from watching animals.
