Salmon Filet with Honey Mustard Glaze

salmon fillet
Sometimes the simplest dish turns out to be most flavorsome. I was running late with dinner preparations and decided to make this salmon as it only requires 15 minutes from start to finish. I even managed to make gnocchi in butter-sage sauce while fish was broiling and blanch asparagus. We had first class dinner in no time.

4 pieces Salmon filet
1 tablespoon Honey
1 teaspoon Whole Grain Mustard or similar
Salt and black pepper

Preheat oven broiler on high. Combine honey and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Arrange salmon on greased baking sheet, skin side down. I always get my filets skinless, by the way.
Tip: save yourself cleaning time and line the sheet with aluminum foil first. Drizzle salmon with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Brush generously a coating of the glaze on top. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes or until the top is crispy and salmon is cooked. Remove from the oven and drizzle with olive oil. Serve hot. Bon appétit!
